- Customizing your invoice template with a custom logo is simple. This applies to Excel and Word, but the steps are similar for other formats.
- Click the “Insert” tab in your Excel or Word template.
- Click the arrow next to “pictures”
- In Excel, click Place over cells > Picture from file
- In Word, click Picture from file
- Locate the image on your computer, select, and click “insert”
- Move the image to the area where you’d like your logo to be displayed
- If necessary, resize the logo to fit by grabbing one of the corner handles of the image and drag the corner handle inward to reduce the size of the image, or drag it outward to increase the size.
EXCEL INSTRUCTIONS: Open the invoice template in Excel. Our templates already have U.S. or other currencies set. If you need to change the currency, simply highlight the cells where monetary values will be entered. Right-click and select “format cells”. Then choose “Currency” from the list and select the desired currency symbol (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP).
WORD INSTRUCTIONS: Word templates are less flexible with automated calculations but can still be used for multi-currency transactions with manual input.
Open the invoice template in Word. Select the fields that contain monetary values. Enter the currency symbol (e.g., $, €, £) next to the amounts manually. Word does not have an automatic currency formatting feature, so you will need to enter the amounts with the correct symbol.
One of the main drawbacks is that it’s quite difficult to adjust column widths in Excel without impacting the whole document. This is because everything is inside one large table. You also don’t have access to the full range of styling options available in Word.

These products all work fine if you’ve made the template already. However, they’re very energy intensive when you want to change something. For example, your address or corporate color.
